A Founder’s Note
CHARIS began during the first Christmas after my husband died.
Life felt more precious that year.
I wanted to give beautifully—for my children, for family, for friends—but nothing I found felt equal to the occasion.
“So much of what I encountered felt hurried, generic, emotionally vacant.”
The name CHARIS comes from the Greek word for grace: the movement between giving, receiving, and remembering.
That movement remains at the center of everything we do.
